The markets are predicting a Donald Trump win for president and are predicting stocks.
The markets have been bullish on Trump’s campaign promises and his promise to bring back manufacturing jobs and he’s also promised to revive the economy, the markets said Tuesday in their second annual stock market forecast.
The market expects the economy to grow 3.6 percent in 2018, the largest since 2009, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 9.5 percent, and the S&P 500 gained 5.6 points.
But the Dow fell 10 points and the Nasdaq gained 14 points.
“While the stock market is not expecting any immediate political turmoil, it is likely that the markets will continue to see a significant increase in volatility in the next year or so,” the report said.
“With all the uncertainty surrounding the 2018 midterm elections, it may not be wise to be overly optimistic about a Trump win.”
The Dow is up more than 100 points in 2017, the Nasec is up 10 points, and S&s is up 3.4 percent.
The report predicted that the Dow will rise above 21,000 this year and that the S &Ps would rise above 25,000 in 2019.
Trump, the most popular Republican candidate in the 2016 election, is expected to win re-election in 2020.
But polls have shown Trump trailing Democrat Hillary Clinton in the election, with polls showing the billionaire businessman trailing her in some key states.
“Despite the continued uncertainty surrounding his campaign, President Trump continues to lead the pack for the GOP nomination in 2020, and his supporters continue to show solid enthusiasm for him and for his policies,” the markets report said, adding that the market’s outlook is for him to win.
Trump has a 52 percent to 38 percent chance of winning, according to the Dow.
Trump is also predicted to win a second term as president in 2020 with a 54 percent to 37 percent chance, according the report.
The S&ing index is up 9.7 percent, while the Dow is down 6.9 percent.
“The stock market and the economy continue to perform strongly, so it would be prudent for investors to maintain an even-handed view on both the economic and stock market outlooks,” the SMA said in a statement.
The Dow Jones is up 17.9 points, while S&s is up 8.5 points.
The Nasdaq is up 5.5 and the Dow in particular is up 13.7.
