TV subscription provider CraveTV is planning to roll out its online TV service to UK consumers on April 15, 2017.
CraveTV announced the plans last week, saying it will be launching a “new service” aimed at people who want to watch TV from a home screen.
CaveTV’s new service will be offered via its online store and will feature a subscription fee for the first three months.
CableTV’s chief executive, Peter Poon, said the move will enable customers to “watch television wherever they are”.
Crave TV’s chief marketing officer, Ian Scott, said it was a “massive milestone” for the company.
“This is an exciting day for Crave TV, with the launch of our new service which will allow consumers to access live TV and other TV content in the comfort of their own home,” Scott said.
“Crave has always wanted to offer people the freedom to watch their favourite shows and movies on their TV sets wherever they want.”
We’re really excited to be able to bring this service to millions of UK households who want a more affordable, more connected way to watch television.
“The move comes as Netflix has announced that it will launch a subscription-based streaming service in the UK on April 1, 2017, with plans to launch more new channels later in the year.
